Washington, D.C. – On Thursday, December 22, 2016, the Department of Defense announced that Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Co. has been awarded a $30,602,218 modification to a previously awarded contract for F-22 sustainment. Lockheed Martin will use the funding to support the F-22 Reliability and Maintainability Maturation Program. Honolulu’s Hickam Air Force Base was named as one of ten work sites around the nation, with work expected to be complete by the end of 2020.
Congresswoman Hanabusa: I am very pleased by the announcement of significant additional funding for F-22 sustainment at Hickam Air Force Base. Our F-22 Raptors are a key component of the 21st century Air Force and are instrumental to protecting the skies over the Pacific. This additional support will improve our military readiness and make sure our airmen have the resources they need to carry out the crucial work of defending our state and our nation.
